Pinchas 397-399
The five supporting leaves of the Lily hold the inner thirteen into one root. The Zohar tells us that the first five words of the Shema Yisrael “שְׁמַע, יִשְׂרָאֵל: יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ, יְהוָה” “Hear, O Israel: YHVH our God, YHVH” is the aspect of the five leaves and the five sefirot as we study earlier. The sixth word, “אֶחָד”, “is One”, is the root. Numerically 13 and it is the secret of the ‘ring’ of the King.
Rabbi Ashlag in his commentary explains that the five sefirot is testimony to the supernal unification of Zeir Anpin and Malchut. The five sefirot is the aspect of the vessel and the 13 attributes is the essence of the Light that fills the vessel.
Shema Yisrael “שְׁמַע, יִשְׂרָאֵל” is Netzach and Hod, “יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ, יְהוָה” is Chessed, Gevurah and Tiferet. “One”, “אֶחָד” is the aspect of the unification of Malchut and Zeir Anpin. Their unification reveals the 13 attributes of Mercy and that is why the numerical value of “One”, “אחד” is 13.
Malchut is called the “Ring of the King”
Ring טבעת has the root טבע, meaning ‘Nature’ also the process of ‘sinking’ in a shape into something else. A coin is called ‘מטבע’ that means a form is shaped onto the metal unit by external force to give it a specific shape and ‘value’.
The numerical value of the word “הטבע”,”The Nature” is equal to אלהים, ‘God’.Another aspect of ring טבעת is a circular element that is the aspect of the Endless. The entire universe (Malchut) is operated in a circular aspect motion, energy, beginning with the atoms and ends with galaxies in the universe.
The King has a crown that is also circular above the head. The word for crown in Hebrew is כתר, ‘keter’ that means “Encirclement”. The light of the Endless is in the circle encircling the entire creation. Keter is also the aspect of every beginning where the energy/force that defines it is born and included within it. Simple example; The thought of writing a book or build a house or a city or a chocolate muffin is the aspect of Keter of the everything that follows it in the process of manifestation.
“One” is described as ‘the ring’ that is the force that activate and holds the unification of Malchut and Zeir Anpin with the Light of the Endless that is the ‘King’, Keter of Creation.
Song of Songs 5:2
” I sleep, but my heart waketh; Hark! my beloved knocketh: ‘Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled; for my head is filled with dew”
We are in a sleep state but our hearts is awake. we are able to hear the Creator ‘knocking’ on our doors expecting us to open up our vessel (the five outer leaves of the Lily). When we do open up, the Light will connect us to the 13 attributes.
טל, ‘dew’ of the verse above has the numerical value of the spelled YHV letters יוד-הא-ואו. It is the force that will come down to Malchut and awaken the ‘dead’ in the process of the Resurrection.
When the Israelites in Malchut connect to the left column then they are in darkness but when they connect to the right column they create the central column and reveal the Light.
Song of Songs 2:2 ” כְּשׁוֹשַׁנָּה בֵּין הַחוֹחִים” ” As a lily among thorns”
The Israelites are like a Lily among the thorns that is the aspect of the other nations of the world. As long as the Lily is closed and its scent is not yet revealed, it is left alone. The Zohar is like the ‘Dew’ that awakens the ‘lilies’ that is scattered among the ‘thorns’. When the Lily opens up and reveal its beauty, the scent is spread out and it is picked out of the thorns.
With the power of the Zohar Israelites could open up their soul and hearts to the light. The ‘scent’ is spread up for the Light to connect us to him with the 13 attributes of Mercy.
If you are reading this then your ‘lily’ is probably open to a certain degree. There are more lilies out there waiting for us to share the ‘dew’ (Zohar) and resurrect their souls. The world will smell different.
The sages tells us that when Mashiach comes the air will be filled with a special scent.
