Zohar Shelach Lecha
The foolish people live with the belief that there is no governess of God and everything is random.
When King Solomon saw them he described those people as beasts.
Ecclesiastes 3:18
“אָמַרְתִּי אֲנִי, בְּלִבִּי–עַל-דִּבְרַת בְּנֵי הָאָדָם, לְבָרָם הָאֱלֹהִים; וְלִרְאוֹת, שְׁהֶם-בְּהֵמָה הֵמָּה לָהֶם”
“I said to myself concerning the sons of men, “God has surely tested them in order for them to see that they are but beasts.”
Without the faith in God people are like animals, and can’t see the work and hand of God around them.
Our faith is being tested constantly. We are challenged with hardship to a point that is almost unbearable. Those who are weak in their faith drop off the path. Some of them feel the lack of Light and come back. Some just lose it completely, especially if they had personal agenda, expecting rewards when they first joined the path of spirituality. Many join the spiritual path seeking closeness to God in order to have fulfillment on the physical/material level. They think about money, relationship (soulmate) and physical health before thinking about correcting themselves and purifying their souls with true study of Zohar and Kabbalah. This is the aspect of beasts who seeks low level fulfillment.
Some are tested with great wealth and fulfillment in most aspects of their lives. They believe that they created their own wealth or that they are entitled to the family inheritance. When they rely only on their wealth and power in this world they are considered as animals.
