Continued from previous DZ
The Zohar taught us previously that the wise have eyes in his head, connecting to the Shechina that is the Light above his head. The body of a person is like a wick of a candle and to maintain this light, he needs oil. King Solomon gives us good advice.
“בְּכָל-עֵת, יִהְיוּ בְגָדֶיךָ לְבָנִים; וְשֶׁמֶן, עַל-רֹאשְׁךָ אַל-יֶחְסָר”
“Let your clothes be white all the time, and let not oil be lacking on your head.”
Our cloths represent our spiritual state. White represents purity and sharing. The ‘Oil’ is the aspect of our continuous good deeds that keeps the light ‘on’.
