Zohar Ki Tetze
#45
Deuteronomy 24:15
“בְּיוֹמוֹ תִתֵּן שְׂכָרוֹ וְלֹא תָבוֹא עָלָיו הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ כִּי עָנִי הוּא וְאֵלָיו הוּא נֹשֵׂא אֶת נַפְשׁוֹ וְלֹא יִקְרָא עָלֶיךָ אֶל יְהוָה וְהָיָה בְךָ חֵטְא”
“”You shall give him his wages on his day before the sun sets, for he is poor and sets his heart on it; so that he will not cry against you to YHVH and it become sin in you.”
The participants of this study, the head of the schools (Yeshivot) above with Rabbi Shimon and his students listen to the Faithful Shepherd that opened and said; the precept that follows (in the Torah) is to give the hired hand, his wages on the same day, before nightfall.
The archangel Metatron is the aspect of ‘wages’. He is the messenger from 18 worlds that is Yessod of Atzilut. This level is called חי ‘Chai’ , numerically 18, with the purpose of receiving the 18 blessings of the silent prayer, ‘Amidah’.
‘give him his wages on his day’ is the aspect of the morning prayer, ‘Shacharit’. ‘before the sun sets’ is the aspect of the afternoon prayer, ‘Mincha’. If the prayer time passed, then the connection is lost. ‘for he is poor’ is the aspect of exile, a state without light unless we pray for it. The daily prayers is the ‘work’ and the light is the ‘wages’.
The Endless Light is always ready to answer our prayers and sustain us. On the practical level, we should pay the full wages for a hired hand. If we fail, then the Light we pray for is withheld from us.
