“וַיֹּאפוּ אֶת הַבָּצֵק אֲשֶׁר הוֹצִיאוּ מִמִּצְרַיִם עֻגֹת מַצּוֹת כִּי לֹא חָמֵץ כִּי גֹרְשׁוּ מִמִּצְרַיִם וְלֹא יָכְלוּ לְהִתְמַהְמֵהַּ וְגַם צֵדָה לֹא עָשׂוּ לָהֶם.”
“They baked the dough which they had brought out of Egypt into cakes of unleavened bread. For it had not become leavened, since they were driven out of Egypt and could not delay, nor had they prepared any provisions for themselves.”
The Zohar explains that the Israelites saw the camps of angels going out of Egypt and they ‘could not delay’. They had to rush and follow the angels that came two centuries ago with Jacob to Egypt and now they are leading them out of Egypt.
God’s promises are never forgotten. If we are on the right path and follow the Torah, we are blessed by all the blessings written in the Torah, in this life or the next.
