Hebrew translation:

69. וְהוּא נַעַר, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁאֵין נִפְרָדִים לְעוֹלָמִים, צַדִּי”ק וְצֶדֶ”ק הֵם יַחַד. כְּמוֹ שֶׁהִיא נִקְרֵאת בַּשֵּׁם שֶׁל הַזָּכָר, גַּם כָּךְ הוּא נִקְרָא בַּשֵּׁם שֶׁלָּהּ, שֶׁכָּתוּב וְהוּא נַעַר.
70. אֶת בְּנֵי בִלְהָה וְאֶת בְּנֵי זִלְפָּה. בְּכֻלָּם עוֹמֶדֶת לְחַדֵּשׁ אוֹתָם כָּרָאוּי וּלְהִשְׁתַּעֲשֵׁעַ לָהֶם בַּשִּׂמְחָה שֶׁלּוֹ. שֶׁכָּל הָעֲנָפִים וְכָל הֶעָלִים, כֻּלָּם מִתְבָּרְכִים בְּשִׂמְחָתוֹ.
71. אֵלֶּה תֹּלְדוֹת יַעֲקֹב יוֹסֵף, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנִּתְבָּאֵר, שֶׁכָּל דְּמוּתוֹ שֶׁל יַעֲקֹב הָיְתָה בְּיוֹסֵף, וְכָל מַה שֶּׁאֵרַע לָזֶה אֵרַע לָזֶה, וּשְׁנֵיהֶם הוֹלְכִים יַחַד. וְזֶהוּ הַסּוֹד שֶׁל הָאוֹת וָ”ו, שֶׁשְּׁנֵיהֶם הוֹלְכִים יַחַד, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁהֵם סוֹד אֶחָד וּדְמוּת אַחַת.

Genesis 37:2
“אֵלֶּה תֹּלְדוֹת יַעֲקֹב יוֹסֵף בֶּן שְׁבַע עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה הָיָה רֹעֶה אֶת אֶחָיו בַּצֹּאן וְהוּא נַעַר אֶת בְּנֵי בִלְהָה וְאֶת בְּנֵי זִלְפָּה נְשֵׁי אָבִיו וַיָּבֵא יוֹסֵף אֶת דִּבָּתָם רָעָה אֶל אֲבִיהֶם”
“These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was pasturing the flock with his brothers. He was a boy with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, his father’s wives. And Joseph brought a bad report of them to their father.”
The children of Leah and Rachel are the aspect of the front of the Shechina. The children of the maids, Bilhah and Zilpah are the aspect of the back of the Shechina. The ‘Front’ or ‘Face’ (פנים) represent the side that shows and spread the Light. The ‘Back’ represents the lack of light/vessel.
Joseph was with the children of the maids means that he was connected and do the work of correcting the ‘back’ of the Shechina. Joseph was the aspect of Yessod and he is the one that connect Shechina in Malchut with the Light, Zeir Anpin.
‘He was a boy’ is a description of Joseph that refers to his connection to Malchut. ‘A boy’, male, is ‘נער’ and a girl, female, is ‘נערה’. We see that the female gets the letter ה of Malchut added to her to tell us that the male ‘נער’ is part of the female, ‘נערה’.

As Yessod, Joseph have strong connection to all the 12 tribes that represent the ‘borders’ of Zeir Anpin. (Read:

He is in the middle at the foundation of the Tree of Life and all levels blessed because of him.

‘These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph’ from the verse above (#69) came to tell us that events in Jacob’s and Joseph’s lives were similar.
Jacob is Tiferet in the central column between Chessed and Gevurah. Joseph is Yessod in the middle between Netzach and Hod. Both are in the secret of the spelled letter ‘וו’ that show the parallel between them.
