Daily Zohar # 3383 – Balak – When you catch your prey, share it

Zohar Balak
#209
When the other-side goes into dark places, it’s the time for prayers. The supernal windows open for the light to come down upon the heads of the people that pray with the congregations.
The Holy One Blessed be He asks about those who don’t pray regularly and say ‘it is pity that this man that was coming here and now he is in darkness, missing these lights’. Without the light of prayers, a person is under the control of the other-side that comes from the mountain of darkness. If he was there with certainty in YHVH as the first ‘servant’ and lean on YHVH with the aspect of poor as the second ‘servant’, he wouldn’t lose the Lights and benefits of the prayers that come to the congregation.
#210
After Rabbi Elazar finished his words, Rabbi Shimon, his father said that he sees the spirit of prophecy in him.
Rabbi Aba said ‘A lion son of a lion! Who would rise before them when they roar to catch their prey? All lions of the world are mighty strong and it’s difficult to take the prey out of their mouth but Rabbi Shimon and his sons are stronger than them. They catch their prey and share it with everyone.
Lesson;
Praying with the congregation is much more powerful than praying alone. Nevertheless, if we are far from a congregation or for any reason have to pray alone, we can meditate to be in Jerusalem, in the Holy Temple, and pray with all the children of Israel. Our consciousness can take us wherever we want and the Holy Temple is where the Shechina is all the time. Find a good picture of the Western wall online and use it to ‘tune’ your consciousness to Jerusalem and the Shechina.
Rabbi Shimon and his son Rabbi Elazar were giants in the Torah studies, revealing great secrets that we study from the Zohar. They could elevate themselves above Yessod to the level of prophecy that is Netzach and Hod. It’s not an easy task to ascend to this level and ‘catch’ new ‘prey’ that is the aspect of the Torah’s secrets. They didn’t keep the ‘prey’ for themselves but shared it with the rest of the world.
Rabbi Aba teaches us that sharing the secrets of Torah and Zohar gives us strength. It’s like a physical light, when we share the light we become the center of it and it shines greater around us.
