Zohar Ha’azinu
#209
Rabbi Chiya says that he learned that “Righteous and upright is He” (Deuteronomy 32:4) represents the oneness of YHVH in the word ‘הוא’’He’. ‘He’ is one without division. Other Holy names in the Torah ascend and unite in the YHVH name. He was, he is, and he will be. Blessed is his name forever and ever.

Praised is the one who knows how to properly call the King. If he calls without knowing who he calls, the Holy One Blessed be He keeps a distance from him.
Psalms 145:18
“קָרוֹב יְהוָה לְכָל קֹרְאָיו לְכֹל אֲשֶׁר יִקְרָאֻהוּ בֶאֱמֶת.”
“YHVH is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.”
Rabbi Aba confirms the words of Rabbi Chiya and says that we learn that from the words “who call upon Him in truth”, where ‘truth’ ‘אֱמֶת’ represents the center column and the ‘seal’ of YHVH. Those who are away from the center are far from him.
Happy are those who enter the wisdom and know the ways of the Holy One Blessed be He.
Proverbs 4:18
“וְאֹרַח צַדִּיקִים כְּאוֹר נֹגַהּ הוֹלֵךְ וָאוֹר עַד נְכוֹן הַיּוֹם.”
“But the path of the righteous is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.”
Isaiah 60:21
“וְעַמֵּךְ כֻּלָּם צַדִּיקִים לְעוֹלָם יִירְשׁוּ אָרֶץ נֵצֶר מטעו [מַטָּעַי] מַעֲשֵׂה יָדַי לְהִתְפָּאֵר.”
“Also your people shall all be righteous; They shall inherit the land forever, The branch of My planting, The work of My hands, That I may be glorified.”
Lesson;
God is the truth אמת that represents the central column. When we make our prayers with pure and true hearts we can expect YHVH to hear us, and answer our prayers.
The Zohar describes the people who pray to God, asking to fulfill their selfish desires as barking dogs, looking for food from their owner. Only when a person prays with the truth that is also the aspect of the central column, he merits the blessings and sustenance he deserves. We may not receive everything we wish for but it is always exactly what we need and should be happy with.
