Zohar Balak
Continued from previous DZ
#365
They took the boy, kissed him, wept with him out of joy, and took him out to another house. They woke him from his sleep and did not tell him immediately about the resurrection of his father but later. They rejoiced for three days, studied with Rabbi Yossi, and revealed new Torah secrets.
#366
Rabbi Yossi told them, I am not allowed to reveal what I saw in the upper world, only after twelve years. The 365 tears that my son shed came before the Holy King. I tell you, my friends, that when my son opened with that verse and shouted these words, 300,000 benches were shaken in the yeshiva in the heavens, and all souls stood before the holy king, asking mercy for me and vouched for me that I may not sin during the extended time of life given to me. And the Holy One Blessed be He got filled with mercy on me.
#367
My son’s words were beautiful before him, also because he was ready to give his life for me. One guardian defended and supported us; he came before him and said, Master of the world, it is written;
Psalm 8:3
“מִפִּי עוֹלְלִים וְיֹנְקִים יִסַּדְתָּ עֹז לְמַעַן צוֹרְרֶיךָ לְהַשְׁבִּית אוֹיֵב וּמִתְנַקֵּם.”
“Out of the mouth of babies and nursing infants, You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.”
May there be a desire before you, that the merits of the Torah, and the merits of that child, who gave his life for his father, that you will have mercy on him, and be saved.
