Hebrew translation:

Zohar Beresheet
Continued from previous DZ
#113
The moon was restless next to the sun and was ashamed in her secondary state.
Songs 1:7
“Tell me, O you whom I love, Where you feed your flock, Where you make it rest at noon. For why should I be one who veils herself By the flocks of your companions?”
The moon told the sun how a small candle shines at noon; how can I be in disgrace? So the moon humbled herself to be the head of the lower levels, as it is written, “Follow in the footsteps of the flock”;
Songs 1:8
“If you do not know, O fairest among women, Follow in the footsteps of the flock, And feed your little goats Beside the shepherds’ tents.”
The Holy One, Blessed be He, said to her: Go and make yourself small.

#114
And from then on, the moon has no light of her own except what she receives from the sun, as explained above. At first, they were on the same level, and then she reduced herself from all her levels and went outside the world of Atzilut. Although she is the head of the lower worlds, B’riah, Yetzira, and Asiya, it is still considered as a loss of all her levels because the female is considered complete only when she is unified with her husband.
Since the Nukva was separated from her husband and came out of Atzilut to B’riah, it means a loss of all her levels.

Lesson;
Rabbi Ashlag explains the great Light is the name YHVH, Zer Anpin of Atzilut, and the Nukvah was the H of the name. After separating and losing the higher level, the Nukva came to the end of Atzilut and is now called ELHYM, a name that implies judgment.
We should avoid interpreting this Zohar study as related to males and females in this world. The process of creation requires a male that is a channel of Light and a female that is the aspect of a vessel.
The whole process of creation, as described in the first chapter of Genesis, was done by ELHYM. This Zohar tells us that it came from the world of Atzilut.
