Exodus 14:19
“וַיִּסַּע מַלְאַךְ הָאֱלֹהִים הַהֹלֵךְ לִפְנֵי מַחֲנֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיֵּלֶךְ מֵאַחֲרֵיהֶם וַיִּסַּע עַמּוּד הֶעָנָן מִפְּנֵיהֶם וַיַּעֲמֹד מֵאַחֲרֵיהֶם”
“And the angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud moved from before them and stood behind them.”
This is one side, Chessed for Abraham, the Right line. Rabbi Shimon said, ‘Elazar, my son, come and see this secret. When Atika Kadisha illuminated the King, which is Zeir Anpin, He illuminated him with the Light of Chassadim of the supernal Father and Mother, which are the upper three Sefirot. And when the Chassadim reaches him, the Patriarchs, which are the three lines of Chessed, Gevurah, and Tiferet, are crowned. And when the Patriarchs are crowned, there is completeness in everything. Then, the Shechinah travels in her journeys with the perfection of the Patriarchs. And when adorned by all of them, from all three Patriarchs, which are the three lines, she is connected to all and has complete authority over all.

Similarly, the Holy Name is inscribed with the letters written in the upper Chariot, which are the crowns of the Patriarchs.

Rabbi Yessa said, “We find in the secret of Rabbi Hamnuna Saba about the sounding of the shofar, three times in the prayer we use the phrase ‘ובכן’ (u’vechen), meaning ‘and thus.’ These correspond to ‘ובכן יתגדל’ (‘and thus be exalted’), ‘ובכן תן פחדך’ (‘and thus put your fear’), and ‘ובכן תן כבוד’ (‘and thus give honor’). It does not mention ‘ובכן צדיקים’ (‘and thus the Tzadikim), which correspond to the three verses of the seventy-two letters, ‘ויסע’ (‘and he traveled’), ‘ויבא’ (‘and he came’), and ‘ויט’ (‘and he stretched out’). This is the order: three, no more. The word ‘ובכן’ (u’vechen) has the numerical value of 72, and thus the three instances of ‘ובכן’ refer to the three lines of the Name of 72. Rabbi Yossi said, ‘Everything is included in this Holy Name and sealed within it.’ This means that all three lines of the Name of 72 are included in Malchut; thus, the complete Holy Chariot is found in Malchut. Therefore, there are four instances of 72: the three lines Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet, and Malchut. Consequently, there are also four instances of ‘ובכן,’ implying that it also includes ‘ובכן צדיקים’ (‘and thus the righteous’).
