Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -47.

Spiritual elevation is achieved with the knowledge of בראשית. The third precept, which is Circumcision. We see in בראשית the words ברית אש, meaning covenant of fire.

When we add י and ה to אש we get איש, man, and אשה, woman. Before the sin Adam was dressed with clothing of Light. His light was like the light of the sun. The secrets of the steps, מילה פריעה, of the circumcision are the revelation of upper lights of the soul at the highest level of Chaya. מילה is מל יה and פריעה is פרע יה. Before the circumcision the Klipot and judgments, connect and hold and conceal the light.

The Klipot attached themselves to the organ as foreskin when the Sin of Snake, Eve and Adam. This precept with the removal of the foreskin, gives us the ability to remove 3 impure Klipot, named “Stormy wind”, “Big Cloud”, “Igniting Fire”.

With the process of פריעה, which is the splitting of the foreskin we correct the fourth Klipah, named Nogah, which initially is in a dual state of pure and impure. Now the Klipah of Nogah becomes holy and connected to the Yesod (the male reproductive organ). The Light can come through Yesod without the interference of the Klipot.
