Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -4723

#156
Rabbi Yehuda said: From here, we understand that Reuben encompasses the three lines, as it is written:
Excellence of dignity and excellence of power” (Genesis 49:3).
Its Aramaic interpretation reveals: “בְּכוֹרָתָא” (“birthright”), which corresponds to the middle line; “כְּהוּנָתָא” (“priesthood”), which corresponds to the right line; and “מַלְכוּתָא” (“kingship”), which corresponds to the left line, for kingship aligns with the side of Gevurah.
Thus, she named him Reuben (ראו בן), simply saying, “See, a son,” to signify that he encompasses the three lines in the aspect of the Light of Generation, as explained earlier.
#157
Rabbi Abba said: This is why she called him simply Reuben (ראו בן) and not Ben Yamin (“Son of the Right”), because he was included within Shimeon and Levi. This was Leah’s intention, to include him with the other two sons, as it is written: “הַפַּעַם יִלָּוֶה אִישִׁי אֵלַי כִּי יָלַדְתִּי לוֹ שְׁלֹשָׁה בָנִים”—”This time my husband will become attached to me because I have borne him three sons” (Genesis 29:34).
This indicates that the three sons are interconnected as one, meaning that each one is included within all three: Reuben is included within them, as are Shimeon and Levi. Therefore, she could not name him Ben Yamin, since he is also included in the left line.

Come and see, it is indeed so, for the upper chariot comprises the patriarchs—Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—along with King David, who is united with them. These four, who form the supernal chariot, correspond to the secret of the Holy Name YHVH (יהוה):
י (Yod) symbolizes Abraham (right line, Chessed).
ה (first Heh) symbolizes Isaac (left line, Gevurah).
ו (Vav) symbolizes Jacob (middle line, Tiferet).
ה (final Heh) symbolizes King David, representing the Nukva.
In this secret, Reuben, Shimeon, and Levi correspond to the three lines (יה” ו) of the Holy Name, while Yehudah represents the root of Malchut, corresponding to the final Heh (ה) of the Name YHVH. Therefore, all of them are part of this structure, forming the secret of the chariot. Just as the members of the chariot are each included within the three lines, so too are the tribes, each one is included within the three lines.
