“וְאַתָּה תֶּחֱזֶה”—”And you shall see”. This means that one should observe: The Hair (שֵׂעָר), The Wrinkles on the Forehead (קְמָטִים שֶׁבַּמֵּצַח), The Eyebrows above the Eyes (הַגַּבּוֹת שֶׁעַל הָעֵינַיִם).
“מִכָּל הָעָם”—”From among all the people”—this refers to observing: The Eyes (הָעֵינַיִם), The Layers of the Eye Membranes (הַקְּרוּמִים שֶׁבַּעַיִן), The Wrinkles below the Eyes (הַקְּמָטִים שֶׁמִּתַּחַת לָעַיִן).
“אַנְשֵׁי חַיִל”—”Men of valor”—these are those who have the strength to stand in the palace of the King. They can be recognized by: The Yellowish Hue in the Face (הַצָּהוֹב שֶׁבַּפָּנִים), The Facial Structure and Wrinkles (הַפָּנִים וְהַקְּמָטִים שֶׁבַּפָּנִים), The Impression Left in the Beard (הָרְשִׁימוֹ שֶׁבַּזָּקָן).
“שֹׂנְאֵי בֶצַע”—”Haters of unjust gain”—these are discerned by: The Hands (הַיָּדַיִם), The Lines of the Hands (הַקַּוִּים שֶׁבַּיָּדַיִם), The Unique Impressions upon Them (הָרְשִׁימוֹת שֶׁבָּהֶם). All six categories of observation are alluded to in this verse, and they were given to Moses so that he could perceive and understand hidden wisdom. The true Tzadikim inherit this wisdom, and they are those who know how to discern people with clarity. Fortunate is their portion!

“עוֹר וּבָשָׂר תַּלְבִּישֵׁנִי וּבַעֲצָמוֹת וְגִידִים תְּסֹכְכֵנִי” “You clothed me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews.” (Job 10:11) In a similar way, the Holy One, Blessed be He, arranged the supernal worlds—step upon step, concealed within concealment, with hosts and chariots, one above another.
Just as He formed the human body with arteries and veins, so too did He structure the celestial order, creating levels upon levels in a perfect system. The bones correspond to the fundamental structures that uphold the higher realms. The flesh represents various levels of dominion and spiritual forces that govern “the end of all flesh.” Some beings receive sustenance from the fragrance of the sacrifices, while others rule over fleshly matters. Above them all is the skin, which encloses everything, just as the supernal concealments enwrap the divine system.
