Daily Zohar # 4781 – Yitro – Like an open book
Daily Zohar 4781

#183
Just as the Holy One, Blessed be He, placed the stars and constellations in the firmament so that they may be observed, serving as signs in the heavens and revealing wisdom,
so, too, did He inscribe markings and lines upon the skin of a person’s face, resembling the celestial bodies in the sky,
so that one may discern great wisdom by examining them and understanding how the body is governed.
#184
Just as the appearance of the stars and constellations in the firmament changes according to the actions of the world, so too do the markings and lines on a person’s skin change according to their deeds from one time to another. These matters were not entrusted to just anyone—they were given only to the true Tzadkim to understand and to learn great wisdom.
#185
“This is the book of the generations of man” (Genesis 5:1). From time to time, according to a person’s deeds, new markings are inscribed and altered upon them, from one time to another. When the spirit of holiness (Ruach HaKodesh) dwells within a person, so does their appearance, producing markings that reflect the spirit upon them from the outside.
Notes:
A person’s external appearance reflects their spiritual state—it changes according to their deeds. When holiness resides within someone, it leaves an imprint on their face and body, visible even to those who can perceive such things. This connects to the broader idea that physical reality mirrors spiritual forces and that the human form is a “book” that reveals one’s inner nature.
