48. פָּתַח רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר וְאָמַר, (שם פח) ה’ אֱלֹהֵי יְשׁוּעָתִי יוֹם צָעַקְתִּי בַלַּיְלָה נֶגְדֶּךָ. בֹּא רְאֵה, דָּוִד הַמֶּלֶךְ הָיָה קָם בַּחֲצוֹת הַלַּיְלָה וּמִשְׁתַּדֵּל בַּתּוֹרָה בְּשִׁירִים וְתִשְׁבָּחוֹת לְשִׂמְחַת הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַגְּבִירָה, וְזוֹ הָיְתָה שִׂמְחַת הָאֱמוּנָה בָּאָרֶץ, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁזֶּהוּ הַשֶּׁבַח שֶׁל הָאֱמוּנָה שֶׁנִּרְאֶה בָאָרֶץ.
49. שֶׁהֲרֵי לְמַעְלָה פּוֹתְחִים בְּשִׂמְחָה שִׁירָה, כַּמָּה מַלְאָכִים עֶלְיוֹנִים בְּכַמָּה מִינִים שֶׁמְּשַׁבְּחִים בַּלַּיְלָה בְּכָל הַצְּדָדִים. כְּמוֹ כֵן לְמַטָּה בָּאָרֶץ, מִי שֶׁמְּשַׁבֵּחַ אֶת הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא בָּאָרֶץ בַּלַּיְלָה, בּוֹ חָפֵץ הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, וְכָל אוֹתָם הַמַּלְאָכִים הַקְּדוֹשִׁים שֶׁמְּשַׁבְּחִים אֶת הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, כֻּלָּם מַקְשִׁיבִים לְאוֹתוֹ שֶׁמְּשַׁבֵּחַ אוֹתוֹ בַּלַּיְלָה בָּאָרֶץ, שֶׁהַשֶּׁבַח הַזֶּה הוּא בִּשְׁלֵמוּת, לְהַעֲלוֹת אֶת כְּבוֹד הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מִלְּמַטָּה וּלְזַמֵּר בַּשִּׂמְחָה שֶׁל הַיִּחוּד.
50. בֹּא רְאֵה, דָּוִד הַמֶּלֶךְ כָּתַב, ה’ אֱלֹהֵי יְשׁוּעָתִי וְגוֹ’. ה’ אֱלֹהֵי יְשׁוּעָתִי, מָתַי הוּא יְשׁוּעָתִי? בְּאוֹתוֹ יוֹם שֶׁהִקְדַּמְתִּי שֶׁבַח בַּלַּיְלָה אֶצְלְךָ, אָז הוּא יְשׁוּעָתִי בַּיּוֹם.

Psalms 88:2
“יְהוָה, אֱלֹהֵי יְשׁוּעָתִי– יוֹם-צָעַקְתִּי בַלַּיְלָה נֶגְדֶּךָ”
“O YHVH, the God of my salvation, I have cried out by day and in the night before You”
King David used to get up at midnight to study the Torah with Psalms and praises to the King and the Lady, the Shechinah. He expressed the joy of the faith in Malchut and with that revealed the presence of the Shechinah in Malchut.

Proverbs 31:15
“וַתָּקָם בְּעוֹד לַיְלָה וַתִּתֵּן טֶרֶף לְבֵיתָהּ וְחֹק לְנַעֲרֹתֶיהָ”
“She rises also while it is still night And gives food to her household And portions to her maidens.”
When we rise to study at midnight, the angels on the upper levels open with joy and praises to the Holy One Blessed Be He. They join those who got up to study and praise God, creating unification of the upper and lower levels.

The Zohar explains that ‘God of my salvation’ relates to the prayer at night is the salvation in the day.
