Zohar Tzav
#69
The Zohar tells us that before going to sleep we need to confess our sins and meditate on sacrificing the three levels of our souls; Nefesh, Ruach, and Neshama. We contemplate to accept the four types of death; stoning, burning, killing (by a sword), and strangulation while reciting the Shema prayer.
Leviticus 5:8
“He shall bring them to the priest, who shall offer first that which is for the sin offering and shall nip its head at the front of its neck, but he shall not sever it.”
The offerings on the altar were slaughtered and burnt in the Holy Temple were made to remove Klipot that we created with our inequities. These Kippot settle in the body in the Bile, Liver, and Spleen.
#70
The altar was made out of stones to represent the aspect of stoning. The fire of blue color comes down to consume the animals sacrificed on the altar. The animals and the bird that was brought on the altar should be pure without blemishes that represent different types of Klipot. The YHVH name then could connect to the animal and bring pure light of cleansing.
The YHVH name brings the energy of life, and for that reason, we need pure animals without blemishes.
Deuteronomy 4:4
“But you who held fast to YHVH your God are alive today, every one of you.”
Habakkuk 3:8
“…You rode on Your horses, On Your chariots of salvation”
The Zohar quotes this verse to teach us that our sacrifices are ‘vehicles’ for the light of salvation.
Lesson;
A long and important lesson related to the above and the next Zohar paragraph (#71,#72) would be added to the next DZ
