Zohar Ki Tetze
#88
The five ‘sun rays’ mentioned earlier (#87) are related to the five times the word ‘Light’ said in the first day of Creation that is the aspect of Chessed. They also aspects of the five fingers of the right hand and Chessed.
The five lights that Moses saw in the burning bush also represent the ‘יד הגדולה’ ‘great hand’ of YHVH that is Chessed.
Exodus 14:31
“וַיַּרְא יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת הַיָּד הַגְּדֹלָה אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה יְהוָה בְּמִצְרַיִם”
“And Israel saw the great hand which YHVH did upon the Egyptians…”
The side of Gevurah that is against the five fingers of the left hand is called the ‘יד החזקה’ ‘Strong Hand’. Its five sefirot relate to the five times the word ‘רקיע’,‘firmament’ is said in the second day of Creation.
From the side of Moses that is the Central Column we have the hand that is called ‘יד רמה’ ‘High Hand’. It is against the five parts, body, two arms and two legs.
Exodus 14:8
“וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, יֹצְאִים בְּיָד רָמָה”
“and the children of Israel went out with high hand”
The three hands are for Chessed, Gevurah and Tiferet. Three times five equal fifteen that in this case make the ה H of Malchut for the ‘staff of God’ that is the letter Vav ו.
Exodus 4:20
“וַיִּקַּח מֹשֶׁה אֶת-מַטֵּה הָאֱלֹהִים, בְּיָדוֹ”
“…And Moses took the staff of God in his hand.”

After Rabbi Shimon finished his explanation above, the Faithful Shepherd brings another explanation to strengthen the words of Rabbi Shimon.
The word ‘מראה’ ‘vision’, also means ‘mirror’ or ‘reflection of light’. It was related to the vision Moses saw in the Burning Bush. The word ‘במראה’ that refers to the way God reveals himself to Moses (Numbers 12:6) has numerical value of 248 that matchs ‘אברהם’,’Abraham’ that is Chessed.
“וַיֹּאמֶר, שִׁמְעוּ-נָא דְבָרָי; אִם-יִהְיֶה, נְבִיאֲכֶם–יְהוָה בַּמַּרְאָה אֵלָיו אֶתְוַדָּע, בַּחֲלוֹם אֲדַבֶּר-בּוֹ.”
“And He said: ‘Hear now My words: if there be a prophet among you, I YHVH do make Myself known unto him in a vision, I do speak with him in a dream.”
This vision reflects Chessed of Zeir Anpin and not of Binah.
Rabbi Shimon repeated his explanation about the great vision of Binah that Moses saw in the Bush and added that the word ‘הסנה’,’the bush’ appears five times in the Torah against the five lights on the Right of Binah. They transform judgment to mercy like Binah. For that reason the bush burnt but not consumed.
The new vision of the 248, Chessed of Abraham that was just revealed here is connected to the five books of the Torah that is the five lights of Chessed of Zeir Anpin that is called Torah.
The Faithful Shepherd, kissed Rabbi Shimon for that new revelation and blessed him, saying that it should be known that there are two visions/reflections of light. One of Binah and one of Zeir Anpin. Malchut is a third type of vision/mirror that is without light. Since Malchut doesn’t have light of its own it can only reflects upper lights.
