Zohar Balak

#211
When the male and female of the other-side are united they are called ‘Stormy Wind’ but after they come together as one, they immediately separated.

#212
“Now Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites.”
‘Zippor’, ‘צִפּוֹר’, means ‘a sparrow’,’ a bird’.
Rabbi Elazar quotes Rabbi Chiyah who said that there is a secret in this verse.
“Even the sparrow has found a home, And the swallow a nest for herself, Where she may lay her young— Even Your altars, YHVH of hosts, My King and my God.”
King David also mentions a ‘sparrow’ and the Zohar asks; would king David refer to a physical bird or is there a secret behind this word?

#213
He answers: we learned that the Holy One Blessed be He loves the souls, but not all of them. He only loves the souls whose dwellings are with him.
When King David said “Even the sparrow has found a home”, he referred to the souls of the righteous that have dwellings above and below.

Lesson;
Balak was wicked and evil. He used a bird to make magic and reveal spiritual secrets for him. King David used the word ‘bird’ to refer to pure souls that have the merit of dwelling with YHVH.

When the people walk with righteousness, they prepare for themselves a home above. With every positive action that reveals light, they improve their dwelling above.

Seeing a bird in a dream is usually a good sign with a message of peace. If the bird is black then it means that the soul of a person carries sins that can bring judgments on him. In such a case one should make a day fast, pray, and give Tzedakah to remove judgments.
