Daily Zohar # 3597 – Vayikra – Pass two gates in heavens and receive two crowns
Hebrew translation:
112. עַכְשָׁו שֶׁלֹּא נִמְצָא קָרְבָּן, מִי שֶׁחוֹטֵא לִפְנֵי רִבּוֹנוֹ וְשָׁב אֵלָיו, וַדַּאי בִּמְרִירוּת הַנֶּפֶשׁ, בְּעֶצֶב, בִּבְכִיָּה, בְּרוּחַ שְׁבוּרָה, אֵיךְ מֵקִים שִׂמְחָה וּרְנָנָה? הֲרֵי אֵין הֵם נִמְצָאִים אֶצְלוֹ? אֶלָּא כָּךְ פֵּרְשׁוּהָ, שֶׁתִּשְׁבְּחוֹת רִבּוֹנוֹ וְשִׂמְחַת הַתּוֹרָה וְרִנְנוֹת הַתּוֹרָה, זוֹהִי שִׂמְחָה וּרְנָנָה. וַהֲרֵי שָׁנִינוּ, וְלֹא מִתּוֹךְ עַצְבוּת וְכוּ’, שֶׁלֹּא יַעֲמֹד אָדָם לִפְנֵי רִבּוֹנוֹ בְּעַצְבוּת, וַהֲרֵי לֹא יָכוֹל, אָז מַה תַּקָּנָתוֹ?
113. אֶלָּא סוֹד הַדָּבָר, הֲרֵי שָׁנִינוּ, לְעוֹלָם יִכָּנֵס אָדָם שִׁעוּר שְׁנֵי פְתָחִים וְכוּ’, וְיִתְפַּלֵּל תְּפִלָּתוֹ. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב(משלי ח)לִשְׁמֹר מְזוּזֹת פְּתָחָי. הֶחָשַׁבְתָּ שְׁנֵי פְתָחִים? אֶלָּא אֱמֹר, שִׁעוּר שְׁנֵי פְתָחִים. כָּאן רֶמֶז לְמַה שֶּׁאָמַר דָּוִד(תהלים כד), שְׁאוּ שְׁעָרִים רָאשֵׁיכֶם. הֵם מָעוֹן וּמָכוֹן, שֶׁהֵם לִפְנַי וְלִפְנִים. רֵאשִׁית הַדְּרָגוֹת – חֶסֶד וּפַחַד, וְהֵם הַפְּתָחִים שֶׁל הָעוֹלָם. עַל כֵּן צָרִיךְ אָדָם לְהִתְכַּוֵּן בִּתְפִלָּתוֹ כְּנֶגֶד קֹדֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִׁים, שֶׁהֵם הַשֵּׁם הַקָּדוֹשׁ, וְיִתְפַּלֵּל תְּפִלָּתוֹ, וְאֵלֶּה הֵם שִׁעוּר שְׁנֵי פְתָחִים, שְׁנֵי כְתָרִים.

When a person brings his offering, the priest makes the meditation with happiness to properly make unification with the Holy Name, and the Levites sang. We read in Psalms 100:3
“דְּעוּ כִּי יְהוָה הוּא אֱלֹהִים הוּא עָשָׂנוּ ולא [וְלוֹ] אֲנַחְנוּ עַמּוֹ וְצֹאן מַרְעִיתוֹ.”
“Know that YHVH, He is God (ELHYM); It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.”
YHVH is the aspect of Right and mercy, ELHYM is the aspect of Left and judgment. The priests on the Right and Levites on the Left. Together they unify the names and sweeten the judgment.

The word for sacrifice is ‘קרבן’ and it has the root ‘קרב’ that means ‘coming close’. Until the person comes closer and a sacrifice is made, he is in a state of bitterness, sadness, and with a broken heart.

Psalms 24:7
“שְׂאוּ שְׁעָרִים רָאשֵׁיכֶם וְהִנָּשְׂאוּ פִּתְחֵי עוֹלָם וְיָבוֹא מֶלֶךְ הַכָּבוֹד.”
“Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.”
The secret is in the ‘gates’. A person should pass through two gates to make his prayers. These are the first two levels in heavens called ‘מעון’ pronounced ‘Maon’ which is Gevurah, and ‘מכון’ ‘Machon’ for Chessed (Please don’t look for English translations. It won’t help in understanding the levels).
There are the openings of the world and a person needs to pray as if he is in front of the Holy of Holies. He meditates in his prayer that Chessed and Gevurah of Zeir Anpin elevate and become Chokmah and Binah as two crowns and they are called Holy of Holies.
