Zohar Shemot
Continued from previous DZ
#96
Rabbi Shimon raised his hands and wept and said woe to those who will happen to be at that time, and blessed is the portion of those who will be found alive at that time. He explains, woe to those who happen to be at that time, because when the Holy One Blessed be He comes to visit the doe, which is the Shechinah, he will look at who is standing with her. He will look at all the deeds of each and everyone, and will not find righteous among them, as it is written;
Isaiah 63:5
“וְאַבִּיט וְאֵין עֹזֵר וְאֶשְׁתּוֹמֵם וְאֵין סוֹמֵךְ וַתּוֹשַׁע לִי זְרֹעִי וַחֲמָתִי הִיא סְמָכָתְנִי.”
“I looked, but there was no one to help, And I wondered That there was no one to uphold; Therefore My own arm brought salvation for Me; And My own fury, it sustained Me.”
Without the righteous, Israel would experience trouble upon trouble.

#97
Blessed is he who happens to be found at that time, because he who is held in that time in faith, will receive the light of joy from the King, and of that time it is written;
Zechariah 13:9
“I will bring the one-third through the fire and will refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them. I will say, ‘This is My people; And each one will say, YHVH is my God.'”
#98
After these troubles arise in Israel, and all the nations and their kings consult together on Israel and make some evil decrees, and all with one counsel come upon them, and trouble will come upon trouble, and the latter makes the people forget the former. Then a pillar of fire will be seen standing from above to below for forty days. And all the nations of the world will see it.

Lesson;
The word ‘Shemot’ means ‘names.’ It comes from the first verse of the Torah portion that begins the book of Exodus. “These are the names of the children of Israel.”
In this book, we read about the redemption process of Israel from slavery in Egypt.
In this portion, the Zohar describes the world’s process when Mashiach is revealed. The Zohar article is called “The Coming of Mashiach.”
The Zohar above quotes Zechariah 13:9, referring to putting “one-third through the fire,” testing their merits for being at the revelation of Mashiach.
The one-third in the prophecy of Zechariah refers to the people who would be alive before the coming of Mashiach. The prior verse tells us about the other two-thirds.
Zechariah 13:8
“וְהָיָה בְכָל הָאָרֶץ נְאֻם יְהוָה פִּי שְׁנַיִם בָּהּ יִכָּרְתוּ יִגְוָעוּ וְהַשְּׁלִשִׁית יִוָּתֶר בָּהּ.”
“And it shall come to pass in all the land,” says YHVH, “That two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die, But one-third shall be left in it:”

As people who follow the ways of the Torah, we should not be worried about the outcome of the war because Mashiach would come sooner or later to remove all evil from the world. If we are on the right side then it doesn’t matter if we are in the one-third because it would be easier to come back at the time of the Resurrection. One of the sages said that he prefers that he won’t be at the time of the Final war because it would be horrible. Others say that seeing the revelation of the Glory of God is a pleasure beyond normal understanding.
Our faith is tested every day. All we need to do is to stay glued to the study of Torah and Zohar, do good, avoid bad, and trust Hashem for our future.
