Zohar Kedoshim

#111
He asks, what is “כִּלְאַיִם” “Kilayim” (mixed species)? And he answers, its explanation is like someone who puts his friend in prison so that he cannot do anything, as it is said, “אֶל בֵּית הַכֶּלֶא” “into the house of imprisonment.” (Jeremiah 37:18) And “Kilayim” also means like a prison “כֶּלֶא,” which is the root word of כִּלְאַיִם. “Kilayim” means prevention, as it prevents all those powers from their work. “Kilayim” means mixture, as it creates a mixture in the higher force and denies the manifestation of the King, as it is said, “And a garment of mixed species (Kilayim) of wool and linen shall not come upon you.” (Leviticus 19:19)

Notes:
Mixing species or elements that the Torah forbids causes confusion and disorder. This disorder disrupts the clear manifestation, undermines the established order, and restricts the connected forces from performing their designated roles effectively.

#112
Come and see, it is written,
Genesis 2:17
“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it, for in the day that you eat thereof, you shall surely die.” And we have learned that Adam didn’t follow the commandment of the King and exchanged the Tree of Life, through which everything is complete and upon which faith depends, and instead adhered to another place.
We have learned that in everything, a person needs to act similarly to the spiritual way above and perform the act as it should be. If the act is changed to something else, it draws upon itself something else that should not reside there, meaning the “Other Side” (Sitra Achra, the side of impurity).

Notes:
There are negative spiritual consequences when deviating from the Torah laws.

#113
Come and see, when a person demonstrates an act below properly, as it should be, a holy and elevated spirit is drawn and rests upon him. But when he shows an act below in a crooked way that is not on the righteous path, another spirit that should not be there is drawn and rests upon him, leading the person toward the bad side. Who draws this spirit upon him? It is the act itself that he demonstrated on the other side.

Lesson;
In essence, this Zohar teaching underscores the importance of maintaining integrity and righteousness in one’s actions to attract positive spiritual influences and avoid negative ones. It reinforces the idea of cause and effect and that our behavior not only affects our physical reality but also shapes the spiritual forces that interact with us.
