Zohar Vayakhel
Continued from previous DZ
#206
This day is the day of the souls, and it is not the day of the body, because it is the dominion of the Bundle of Souls (צְרוֹר הַנְּשָׁמוֹת) — which is Binah — and upper and lower ones all stand in one union, in the crown of the additional soul (רוּחַ יְתֵרָה), the supernal holy one.
Notes:
The Zohar emphasizes that Shabbat day belongs to the realm of souls (נְּשָׁמוֹת), not the physical body, as it is governed by Binah (the Bundle of Souls /צְרוֹר הַנְּשָׁמוֹת). On this day, all upper and lower beings unite in a single zivug (coupling), crowned by the supernal additional spirit (רוּחַ יְתֵרָה), highlighting the elevated spiritual state and complete harmony of Shabbat.
#207
The prayer of Shabbat of the holy people. Three prayers are found on this day corresponding to three aspects of Shabbat — Binah, Zeir Anpin, and Malchut — that rule together and are one. And once the holy people have come to the synagogue, it is forbidden to engage even in the needs of the synagogue except in matters of praises, prayer, and Torah, as is fitting for them.
Notes:
Shabbat day encompasses three prayers corresponding to the three principal Shabbats: Binah (the supernal Shabbat), Zeir Anpin (the middle Shabbat), and Malchut (the lower Shabbat), all united as one. Upon entering the synagogue, the holy people must focus exclusively on praises, prayer, and Torah study — no mundane synagogue affairs are permitted — to align with the elevated unity and holiness of these three levels.
#208
And whoever engages in other matters and worldly words — this person profanes Shabbat and has no portion in the people of Israel. Two angels are appointed over this on the day of Shabbat, and they place their hands on his head and say: Woe to so-and-so, who has no portion in the Holy One, blessed be He. And therefore one must strive in prayers, songs, and praises to their Master, and engage in Torah.
Notes:
The Zohar warns that occupying oneself with worldly or extraneous matters in the synagogue on Shabbat constitutes Shabbat desecration, severing one’s portion in Israel. Two appointed angels testify against such a person, declaring his exclusion from the Holy One. The proper conduct is total dedication to tefillah (prayer), songs, and praises, and Torah study, thereby meriting the full spiritual connection and blessing of Shabbat.
