Rabbi Yehuda said, Then three entered into judgment and were judged, that is the serpent and Adam and Eve, and the lower world was cursed. And it did not return to its state from the power of the filth(זוהמה, Impurity) of the serpent until Israel stood at Mount Sinai, for then the filth ceased.
Notes:
Adam, Eve, and the serpent were judged, and the lower world was cursed by the serpent’s filth. That impurity was not removed until Israel stood at Mount Sinai.

After the sin the Holy One, blessed be He, clothed them in garments from which the skin benefits, and not the soul. And this is what it says, “כָּתְנוֹת עוֹר” “garments of skin” (Genesis 3:21). At first they had garments of light, which the upper ones used above. For upper angels would come to Adam to enjoy that light. And this is what it says, “וַתְּחַסְּרֵהוּ מְּעַט מֵאֱלֹהִים וְכָבוֹד וְהָדָר תְּעַטְּרֵהוּ” “You have made him a little lower than God, and You have crowned him with glory and honor” (Psalms 8:6). And now that they sinned, they were given garments of skin, from which the skin benefits, that is the body, and not the soul.
Notes:
Before the sin Adam and Eve wore garments of light that even the angels enjoyed. After the sin they received garments of skin that benefit only the body, not the soul.
