Daily Zohar # 2484 – Balak – Fish of the sea
Rabbi Elazar visited the ‘Yenuka’, the child of Rav Hamnuna Saba that is known in the Zohar to reveal many secrets to Rabbi Shimon and his son.
When the child saw Rabbi Elazar and his friends, he welcomed them and invited them into his home. He praised them for being holy people saying “even the fish of the big sea come out to the land for them”. It’s obvious that this righteous child knew that the soul of his father was visiting and teaching them. The ‘fish’ is the aspect of Tzadik souls at the highest level. The big sea is the aspect of the worlds of Atzilut and Briah.
Rabbi Elazar was very impressed by that and gave great respect to that special child. He kissed the child’s head and then on his mouth.
He explained that the first kiss was for revealing the secrets of Tzadikim from the ‘sea’ that is the world of Atzilut and Briah. These Tzadikim come to the ‘land’ which is the aspect of Malchut. The second kiss was for the fish eggs that produced good fruits in the world. It is the aspect of the Tzadik that brings righteous children like the Yenukah, of Rav Hamnuna Saba. The name ‘Hamnuna’ itself means ‘fish of the sea’.
