Tikkun 65 – 3
Genesis 2:23
“ וַיֹּאמֶר, הָאָדָם, זֹאת הַפַּעַם עֶצֶם מֵעֲצָמַי, וּבָשָׂר מִבְּשָׂרִי; לְזֹאת יִקָּרֵא אִשָּׁה, כִּי מֵאִישׁ לֻקְחָה-זֹּאת.”
“And the man said: ‘This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.’ ”
The Woman was called ‘woman’, אִשָּׁה (pronounced ‘Ishah’) because she was taken from ‘man’, מֵאִישׁ (pronounced ‘Ish’)
Rabbi Elazar asks “Why was it said on the woman that she was taken from ‘Ish’ when she came out of Adam?”. He gives the answer and explains that the word מֵאִישׁ, ‘from man’ has two words in it. אם and יש, meaning “Mother of ‘that exists’”. This implies to Binah, which is the mother of all that exists. Binah uses the life force of Chokmah in the act of Creation.
God Created Adam in his own image, which means no separate parts. Adam and Eve were created as one.
Genesis 1:27
“ וַיִּבְרָא אֱלֹהִים אֶת-הָאָדָם בְּצַלְמוֹ, בְּצֶלֶם אֱלֹהִים בָּרָא אֹתוֹ: זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה, בָּרָא אֹתָם.”
“And God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.”
Genesis 5:2
“ זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה, בְּרָאָם; וַיְבָרֶךְ אֹתָם, וַיִּקְרָא אֶת-שְׁמָם אָדָם, בְּיוֹם, הִבָּרְאָם ”
“male and female created He them, and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created ”
Adam was created in the image of God, יוֹ”ד ה”א וא”ו ה”א, with the ten Sefirot. They were both named ‘Adam’.
They came as the aspect of the two letters YH יה of YHVH. The Y gave him the name אִישׁ (Ish) and the H gave her the name אִשָּׁה (Ishah), ‘Mother of all living’.
From the side of the lower V and H וה of the name, his wife was named חַוָּה. Adam, after the sin, ‘lost’ his ‘height’ and represented only by the V, Zeir Anpin.
Casting them out of the Garden of Eden was the aspect of disconnection from the upper YH יה.
