Tikkun 69 – 87

Rabbi Pinchas who was Rabbi Shimon’s father in law, came down from the spiritual worlds to support Rabbi Shimon. He appears in many places through the Zohar and asks questions or provides answers to guide Rabbi Shimon in revealing greater light.

In this section he asks “What is the ‘Vapor’, “הבל” that is created on earth?”

Genesis 2:6
“ וְאֵד, יַעֲלֶה מִן-הָאָרֶץ, וְהִשְׁקָה, אֶת-כָּל-פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה”
“but there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground”

The vapor that is created on the earth is the vapor of the prayers and the sacred text of Torah and Zohar. The source of its energy comes from the heart. הבל “Vapor” is also “הלב”, “The Heart” . The two letters לב are the first and last letters of ב and ל of the Torah and they spell ‘heart’.

Our heart and consciousness produce heat and energy of life in the body. Heart is located between the wings of the lungs for an important purpose. The mind consciousness ‘travels’ from the brain through pulses of energy to the heart and vibrates the lungs. It pushes vapor out to the world outside, through the breathing pipe. These vapors that the Holy Ari tells us, are waves of energy which produce angels that support us in time of need. The Zohar tells us that the process purifies the soul level of Nefesh and awakens the Tree of Life with the sounds of the sacred text.

In Psalms 29, we read about the seven sounds that connect to the seven Sefirot and all forces of creation.

The prayers and the reading of the sacred text send pulses of energy to the Tree of Life that is within us and triggers the light of Chokmah (Yod י ), travels down through the six Sefirot of Zeir Anpin (Vav ו) and Yessod, like seeds of a fruitful tree, to manifest in Malchut (ה).
