Daily Zohar – Tikunim – #215 – Deliver from death
Tikkun 18 Continue
There are people that use their arms to do charity. They connect the right and the left columns of the Tree of Life to create flow of the Light to the lower levels.
In Deuteronomy we find 5 pairs of verbs that the Zohar and Talmud explain as actions of Tzedaka, charity.
15:8 פָתֹחַ תִּפְתַּח
15:8 וְהַעֲבֵט, תַּעֲבִיטֶנּוּ
15:10 נָתוֹן תִּתֵּן
15:14 הַעֲנֵיק תַּעֲנִיק
24:13 הָשֵׁב תָּשִׁיב
The first four pairs are in the section that talks about the rules of the seventh year, מִקֵּץ שֶׁבַע-שָׁנִים, תַּעֲשֶׂה שְׁמִטָּה.
The seventh year relates to Malchut and there are certain rules that we need to follow to reveal the light in a global and social collective aspect.
The action of Tzedaka, reveals the light in all of the seven Sefirot from Chessed to Malchut and brings down energy of life.
Tzedakah comes from the root word of righteousness and also connects to the Sefira of Yessod, which is where the flow of Light and life energy comes out to the world. Proverbs 10:25 “וְצַדִּיק, יְסוֹד עוֹלָם” “and Tzaddik is the Yessod of the world”
The effect of Tzedakah is explained in Proverbs 10:2 and 11:4 “וּצְדָקָה, תַּצִּיל מִמָּוֶת” “Tzedakah delivers from death” and in 11:19 “כֵּן-צְדָקָה לְחַיִּים” “Tzedakah to Life”.
Tzedakah is a powerful tool to reveal light on the highest level. By bringing energy of continuation and life to others we also draw it to ourselves.
