Daily Zohar – Tikunim – #217 – Open your hands
Tikkun 18 Continue
When our silent prayer is done with the right actions and consciousness we create affinity and completion with the supernal light. We were created in God’s image, which is the Tree of Life so when we bring light to our life, we actually bring light to the Tree below from the Tree above. This follows the original plan to unify the upper and lower with complete unity, which is called Shalom, Peace and completion.
At the end of the prayer we recite
“עוֹשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם בִּמְרוֹמָיו, הוּא בְרַחֲמָיו יַעֲשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם עַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל”
“Maker of peace above, with mercy he will make peace on all Israel”
Here we ask to draw the peace created above down to the world.
After that, we recite Psalms 145, where the verses are arranged according to the Aleph Bet. In verse 16 we read “Open your hands and sustain all livings and vessels”.
This helps us draw the light to all parts of our body and our existence. We are in the image of God and we have the same structure of the Tree of Life. In order to connect to the supernal light we need to tune our Tree to be like the one above.
