Daily Zohar – Tikunim – #264 – Would you like to be like a fish in the water?
Tikkun 21 – 5
Genesis 48:16 “…and they will be like fish in the midst of the earth”
When Jacob gave the blessings to Efraim and Menashe, the sons of Joseph, he placed his hands on their heads but he put his right hand on the head of Efraim. Menashe was Joseph’s first born and for this reason Joseph wanted to correct his father and move the right hand to Menashe. The blessings flow from the older to the younger.
Jacob didn’t agree and assured his son that he knew the system but the future, as God revealed to him, (48:11) is different.
One of the reasons for that is that Jacob knew how to protect him and his family from negativity. He saw the future generations and knew that his actions and blessings are the keys for the future of the nation that comes out of him.
Jacob was expert in putting things in order.
He let Esau come out of his mother’s womb to take all the blessings from his father, Isaac later.
When he came to meet with hostile Esau he arranged the family in a special order that gave protection to all of them.
After their peaceful meeting, he let Esau go ahead of him with a simple excuse but for a reason similar to why he let him be born first.
He even ‘kept’ Joseph’s dream to manifest it in the future.
When he blessed Menashe and Efraim with “…will be like fish…” it was to give them the protection of the Torah, which is the spiritual water and energy of Chassadim, to be with them in everything they do.
