Daily Zohar # 3126 – Vaetchanan – Your God and our God

Hebrew translation:
104. אֶלָּא יָפֶה הוּא, וַהֲרֵי הִתְעוֹרַרְנוּ. לֹא שָׁנִינוּ מֵעַצְמוֹ, אֶלָּא מִפִּי עַצְמוֹ, וּמַהוּ? אוֹתוֹ קוֹל שֶׁהוּא אָחוּז בּוֹ. וְעַל זֶה, הַלָּלוּ מִפִּי הַגְּבוּרָה, וְהַלָּלוּ מִפִּי עַצְמוֹ, מִפִּי אוֹתָהּ דַּרְגָּה שֶׁנִּקְשַׁר בָּהּ עַל שְׁאָר נְבִיאִים הַנֶּאֱמָנִים. וְעַל זֶה בְּכָל מָקוֹם אֱלֹהֶיךָ, וְכָאן אֱלֹהֵינוּ.
105. בֹּא וּרְאֵה כַּמָּה יֵשׁ לָהֶם לִבְנֵי אָדָם לִשְׁמֹר דַּרְכֵיהֶם כְּדֵי שֶׁיִּשְׁתַּדְּלוּ בַּעֲבוֹדַת רִבּוֹנָם וְיִזְכּוּ לְחַיֵּי הָעוֹלָמִים. תַּחַת כִּסֵּא הַמֶּלֶךְ הַקָּדוֹשׁ יֵשׁ מָדוֹרִים עֶלְיוֹנִים, וּבְאוֹתוֹ מָקוֹם שֶׁל הַכִּסֵּא נִקְשֶׁרֶת מְזוּזָה לְהִנָּצֵל מִכַּמָּה בַּעֲלֵי דִינִים שֶׁעֲתִידִים לְהִתְעוֹרֵר בָּהֶם בִּבְנֵי הָאָדָם בְּאוֹתוֹ הָעוֹלָם. כְּמוֹ זֶה עָשָׂה הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לְיִשְׂרָאֵל, וְנָתַן לָהֶם מִצְווֹת הַתּוֹרָה כְּדֵי שֶׁיִּשְׁתַּדְּלוּ בָהּ, וְיִנָּצְלוּ בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה מִכַּמָּה בַּעֲלֵי דִינִים וּמִכַּמָּה מְקַטְרְגִים שֶׁמִּזְדַּמְּנִים לִבְנֵי אָדָם בְּכָל יוֹם.

Rabbi Shimon says that we learned that the curses in Leviticus, the portion of Bechukotai, were said by Moses from the mouth of Gevurah. The curses in Deuteronomy, the portion of Ki Tavo were said from the mouth of Moses.
What does it mean ‘from his mouth’? Is there even a small letter in the Torah that was said by Moses himself?

It wasn’t from Moses himself but from his mouth, meaning the voice that was connected to Moses. The curses in Leviticus were from the side of the supernal Gevurah that is Binah. The curses in Deuteronomy were said from the level of Zeir Anpin that was Moses’s level.
Where it says in the Torah ‘אֱלֹהֶיךָ’ ‘your God’ is an aspect of Malchut that is below Zeir Anpin, Moses’s level. When it says ‘אֱלֹהֵינוּ’ ‘our God’ like in the Shema Israel, it is from the level of Binah that includes, Moses that was in Zeir Anpin, the level below Binah.

The Holy One Blessed be He, through the Torah gives us many ways to connect to higher levels and stay on the righteous path that will merit us with immortal life in the world to come. The Mezuzah and Torah precepts protect us from everyday forces of judgments that are ready to inflict harm on us.
