Tikkun 21 – 67

Liver and Spleen are the holding places of Sama-el and the snake.

These important body parts maintain our health by absorbing the negative elements from the blood. This is where the soul level of Nefesh resides. They are below the heart and the level of Ruach and the brain is the level of Neshama.

They keep our desire to live so we can feed them with the light we draw.

Proverbs 5:4 “וְאַחֲרִיתָהּ, מָרָה כַלַּעֲנָה חַדָּה, כְּחֶרֶב פִּיּוֹת.”
“But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword”

Death comes to the body at the level of Nefesh and the blood system. The Torah is the elixir of life and helps us remove the negativity.
Liver is in the aspect of “אל אחר” “other God” and the sound of Teruah cleanse its impurities. Bile is the aspect of the Snake and the sound of Shevarim breaks its hold on us. Spleen is the aspect of the Angel of Death and with the sound of Tekiah he moves out of this world.
