#117
The elder turned to Rabbi Shimon and said, “I see that you have a question about the verse “on the tenth of the seventh month”.
Rabbi Shimon answered, indeed, I have. You explained nicely that ‘decade’ is one hundred, but why does it come to one hundred when the reference is to the seventh month. From the verse we can understand that the tenth of the seventh is seventy because ten times seven is seventy.
The elder said I turned my head to you because I know that you are wise and would ask this question.
#118
The elder explained, there are two secrets here. The first secret is related to the moon that is Malchut and the aspect of the seventh month. The seventh is called ‘עשור’ ‘decade’ because Malchut receives Light from all the ten sefirot. When we count each sefira with its ten individual sefirot we have one hundred.
The other secret is that ‘עשור’ implies to add fulfillment to the seventh. On Yom Kippur Malchut is at the level of seventy and also on the level of one hundred when adding the upper three sefirot to illuminate Malchut and complete to one hundred.
On this day Malchut takes all the people of Israel to judge them. Their soul is judged, not their body, as it says (numbers 29:7) “You shall afflict your souls”. All souls are under the rule of the day, and Mother, Binah, gives Malchut the Light in the secret of seventy as it is written;
Psalm 90:10
“יְמֵי שְׁנוֹתֵינוּ בָהֶם שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וְאִם בִּגְבוּרֹת שְׁמוֹנִים שָׁנָה וְרָהְבָּם עָמָל וָאָוֶן כִּי גָז חִישׁ וַנָּעֻפָה.”
“The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.”
When Malchut receives the light from the upper three sefirot of Binah then the Light is in the aspect of one hundred.

Friday would be a good day to make a ** Donation, especially if you didn’t donate in the past week. Giving on Friday, which is an aspect of Yessod, expands the vessel for the Light and honor of Shabbat.
** Your donation doesn’t have to be given to the same place every week. You can alternate or split your donation among those who benefit you spiritually.
