403. וְהַיְנוּ מַה שֶּׁאָמַר רַבִּי יִצְחָק אָמַר רַבִּי יְהוּדָה, בַּכְּתָרִים הַתַּחְתּוֹנִים הַלָּלוּ יֵשׁ יָמִין וְיֵשׁ שְׂמֹאל. מִצַּד יָמִין חֲמוֹרִים, כְּפִי שֶׁבֵּאַרְנוּ, וּמִצַּד שְׂמֹאל אֲתוֹנוֹת. וְשָׁנִינוּ, עֲשָׂרָה הֵם לְיָמִין, וַעֲשָׂרָה לִשְׂמֹאל. וְזֶהוּ שֶׁאָמַר רַבִּי יוֹסֵי, יוֹסֵף כְּשֶׁנִּפְרַד מֵאָבִיו יָדַע בַּחָכְמָה הָעֶלְיוֹנָה בְּסוֹד כְּתָרִים קְדוֹשִׁים עֶלְיוֹנִים. כֵּיוָן שֶׁהָיָה בְּמִצְרַיִם, לָמַד בְּאוֹתָהּ חָכְמָה שֶׁלָּהֶם בְּאוֹתָם כְּתָרִים תַּחְתּוֹנִים, אֵיךְ אֲחוּזִים אֵלֶּה שֶׁל יָמִין וְאֵלֶּה שֶׁל שְׂמֹאל. עֲשָׂרָה שֶׁל יָמִין וַעֲשָׂרָה שֶׁל שְׂמֹאל חֲמוֹרִים וַאֲתוֹנוֹת. וּמִשּׁוּם זֶה רָמַז לְאָבִיו מִמַּה שֶּׁלָּמַד שָׁם, שֶׁכָּתוּב (שם מח) וּלְאָבִיו שָׁלַח כְּזֹאת עֲשָׂרָה חֲמוֹרִים וְגוֹ’.
404. אָמַר רַבִּי יוֹסֵי, אֵלּוּ שֶׁל יָמִין כְּלוּלִים כֻּלָּם בְּאֶחָד שֶׁנִּקְרָא חֲמוֹ”ר. וְזֶהוּ אוֹתוֹ חֲמוֹר שֶׁכָּתוּב (דברים כב) לֹא תַחֲרֹשׁ בְּשׁוֹר וּבַחֲמֹ”ר יַחְדָּו. וְזֶהוּ חֲמוֹר שֶׁעָתִיד מֶלֶךְ הַמָּשִׁיחַ לִשְׁלֹט עָלָיו, כְּמוֹ שֶׁבֵּאַרְנוּ. וְאוֹתָם שֶׁל שְׂמֹאל כְּלוּלִים כֻּלָּם בְּאֶחָד שֶׁנִּקְרָא אָתוֹן, שֶׁהֲרֵי מִצִּדָּהּ נִקְרָא עִירֹה, מְקַטְרֵג הַתִּינוֹקוֹת, כְּמוֹ שֶׁבֵּאַרְנוּ. וְהַיְנוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב (זכריה ט) עָנִי וְרֹכֵב עַל חֲמוֹר וְעַל עַיִר בֶּן אֲתֹנוֹת. אֲתָנַת חָסֵר. עֲשָׂרָה שֶׁכְּלוּלִים בְּאֶחָד.

Rabbi Yitzchak said what Rabbi Yehuda said, in those lower sefirot, there is a Right, and there is a Left. On the Right are the donkeys, which are males, as we learned. And on the Left are the female donkeys. We learned that ten sefirot are to the Right and ten are to the Left. God made ten sefirot of holiness against the other side as we read;
Ecclesiastes 7:14
“בְּיוֹם טוֹבָה הֱיֵה בְטוֹב וּבְיוֹם רָעָה רְאֵה גַּם אֶת זֶה לְעֻמַּת זֶה עָשָׂה הָאֱלֹהִים עַל דִּבְרַת שֶׁלֹּא יִמְצָא הָאָדָם אַחֲרָיו מְאוּמָה.”
“In the day of prosperity be joyful, But in the day of adversity consider: Surely God has made the one as well as the other, So that man can find out nothing that will come after him.”
Rabbi Yossi said, when Joseph parted from his father, he had knowledge of the supernal wisdom of the holy side. Since Joseph was in Egypt, he also learned the wisdom of the lower sefirot of the other side. When he sent donkeys to his father, he hinted that he learned how the other side’s system works.
Genesis 45:23
“וּלְאָבִיו שָׁלַח כְּזֹאת עֲשָׂרָה חֲמֹרִים נֹשְׂאִים מִטּוּב מִצְרָיִם וְעֶשֶׂר אֲתֹנֹת נֹשְׂאֹת בָּר וָלֶחֶם וּמָזוֹן לְאָבִיו לַדָּרֶךְ.”
“And he sent to his father these things: ten donkeys loaded with the good things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain, bread, and food for his father for the journey.”

Rabbi Yossi said, the ten of the Right are all included in one called Donkey (חמור). And this is the same Donkey that is in;
Deuteronomy 22:10
“לֹא תַחֲרֹשׁ בְּשׁוֹר וּבַחֲמֹר יַחְדָּו.”
“You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.”
And this is the Donkey, over which the King Mashiach will rule as we have learned, in the secret of “riding on a donkey,” as it is written;
Zecharia 9:9
“גִּילִי מְאֹד בַּת צִיּוֹן הָרִיעִי בַּת יְרוּשָׁלַ‍ִם הִנֵּה מַלְכֵּךְ יָבוֹא לָךְ צַדִּיק וְנוֹשָׁע הוּא עָנִי וְרֹכֵב עַל חֲמוֹר וְעַל עַיִר בֶּן אֲתֹנוֹת.”
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.”

And these ten of the Left are all included in the female Donkey because from its side comes a donkey’s foal that demands judgment from the children. Mashiach would ride on the Donkey and “A colt, the foal of a donkey.”
