#145
The scripture says, “A son honors his father, And a servant his master” (Malachi 1:6). Israel, my sons, is it a disgrace in your eyes, to say that I am your father, or that you are my servant. If I am a father, where is my honor. Because of this, it is written, “Sarah shall have a son”;
Genesis 18:10
“And He said, “I will certainly return to you according to the time and behold, Sarah, your wife shall have a son.” Sarah was listening in the tent door, which was behind him.”
The son is Isaac, who was properly honoring his father, not Ishmael.

#146
“And behold, Sarah, your wife, shall have a son,” A son to Sarah because she died when she heard that her son was bound on the altar. She suffered pain until her soul left her.
Genesis 21:1
“And YHVH visited Sarah as He had said, and YHVH did for Sarah as He had spoken.”
Isaac was born on Rosh Hashanah, a day when the Holy One, Blessed be He, sits on his throne, judging the world. Because of that, we mention Sarah and Isaac on Rosh Hashanah.

Genesis 18:10
“And He said, “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life and behold, Sarah, your wife shall have a son.” Sarah was listening in the tent door, and he was behind.”
He asks what is “he is behind” it should have said, and she was behind him, meaning that she was behind the angel that came with the message. He answers; the secret is that Sarah hears what he is saying. The tent’s opening is the lower level, the gate to the faith, meaning the Shechina. “He was behind” refers to the supernal level, which is the Holy One, Blessed be He.
It was the first time Sarah heard from the Holy One, Blessed be He, since she was born.
