Leviticus 14:35
“וּבָא אֲשֶׁר לוֹ הַבַּיִת וְהִגִּיד לַכֹּהֵן לֵאמֹר כְּנֶגַע נִרְאָה לִי בַּבָּיִת.”
“and he who owns the house comes and tells the priest, saying, ‘It seems to me that there is like a plague in the house’”
He asks why it is written “tells” “וְהִגִּיד”, it should say “וַיֹּאמֶר” “he spoke.” He replies we find wisdom everywhere. It says, “it seemed to me, there is like a plague in the home,” when it should have been said, “There is a plague in the home,” for it is written,”ונתתי נגע צרעת בבית ארץ אחוזתכם” “I put the leprous plague in a house in the land of your possession” (Leviticus 14:34), which means that it will be visible to all, and why here it says “כנגע נראה לי” “as a plague appears to me.”

He replies when the plague entered the house, it covered the impurity of the other side, that is, from the line that is the Light of Chokmah without Chassadim. The spirit of impurity that was in the house (as above #153) and the plague fought each other, and the impurity resurfaced. Therefore, it was written “and tells the priest” because it is a matter of Chokamah.

Then the priest came to knock down the house and scattered it, the trees, stones, and everything. Since they were freed from the impurity, and everything was purified, they are blessed, so it is written,
Deuteronomy 8:12
“פֶּן תֹּאכַל וְשָׂבָעְתָּ וּבָתִּים טוֹבִים תִּבְנֶה וְיָשָׁבְתָּ.”
“lest—when you have eaten and are full, and have built good houses and dwell in them;”
The verse means that we need to build in righteousness to have good houses because the first houses in the land were not built in purity and holiness.
