The phrase “לבד בך נזכיר שמך” “we mention Your name (בך numerically 22) only” means that the secret of the Holy Name, which is the Nukva, encompasses all 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Therefore, it is referred to as ‘Et’ (את), symbolizing the letters from Aleph (א) to Tav (ת). The Congregation of Israel, which is the feminine aspect, is blessed only through this Name, referred to as “Be’cha” (בך), representing the masculine aspect, Zeir Anpin, which also contains 22 letters, as indicated by the numerical value of ‘בך.’ This is referenced in Exodus verses 32:13 “אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּעְתָּ לָהֶם בָּךְ” “which You swore to them by (בָּךְ) Your Name” and Genesis 48:20 “וַיְבָרֲכֵם בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא לֵאמוֹר בְּךָ יְבָרֵךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל” “in You, Israel will be blessed.” These references allude to Zeir Anpin. In times of perfection, the masculine and feminine aspects, Zeir Anpin and Nukva, were not separated and should not be separated, either in thought or in mention, to avoid implying a separation. However, in the current state of exile, a separation is experienced because, due to the hardships that befall us, we sometimes mention the Nukva separately from her husband, Zeir Anpin, since in a state of exile, the Nukva is ‘lying in the dust.’ This is the essence of (Isaiah 26:13) “זוּלָתֶךָ לְבַד בְּךָ נַזְכִּיר שְׁמֶךָ” “we mention Your name only in relation to You (בְּךָ).”
Rabbi Ashlag explains that the governance of the world is always by the feminine aspect, Nukva. When it is united with the masculine aspect, Zeir Anpin, it receives all pleasure and goodness from him to bestow upon the world. At such times, it is evident that the lower worlds, who are worthy of this abundance, cause the unification of Nukva with Zeir Anpin. However, during the exile, when the people do not deserve great abundance, they receive harsh judgments and suffering from the governance of the Nukva. The exile caused the Nukva to be alone, separated from her husband, Zeir Anpin, and she ‘lies in the dust’. Then, all the severe judgments are drawn from her into the world, causing her to be lowly and humbled to the dust.
When the Nukva unites with Zeir Anpin, the world will be restored to its perfection and have all the goodness.

When the Nukva is separate from Zeir Anpin, we are distant from the Name of Hashem and cause others to rule over us. This is the case during the days of exile.
