Zohar Shelach Lecha
Continued from previous DZ
#209
When all these males’ and females’ souls ascend at night while sleeping, they hear new and old things. They enter the Yeshiva and repeat what they heard before the head of the Yeshiva. Then he explains to them what they saw.
When their souls go up at night, they undress their clothes of this world to ascend. When they come back down, they get dressed again in the clothes of their bodies.

#210
How new are the revelations from the Head of the Yeshiva? Blessed is he who humbles himself in this world, how much he is great and supreme in the upper world. The head of the Yeshiva said, whoever is small is big, and he who is great is small. It is written
Genesis 23:1
“וַיִּהְיוּ חַיֵּי שָׂרָה מֵאָה שָׁנָה וְעֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וְשֶׁבַע שָׁנִים שְׁנֵי חַיֵּי שָׂרָה.”
“Sarah lived one hundred year and twenty year, and seven years; these were the years of the life of Sarah.”
One hundred, which is a large number, is written in a singular form, as ‘year,’ then twenty-year. Then the smallest number, Seven, was said as seven years, in the plural to make it significant.

The Holy One, Blessed be He, does not increase value but for those with self-humiliation. And the Holy One Blessed be He humiliates only those who make themselves above others. Blessed is he who humbles himself in this world, for he is exalted in the upper world.

Lesson;
Ego and pride in this world have a strong gravitational force that ‘grounds’ the person and shrinks his spiritual side.
