If that red color is more deeply stained and retains its color, and it was stained only for a short time. For these colors sometimes appear bright, and sometimes dark, and if that red is stained and bright, then on his left hand, there are three lines in length and three lines in width, and one thin line over those in width, and one thin line over those in length. And on the right hand, one line is added in width only. This is a man who lay with a menstruating woman and did not do Teshuva to Hashem.

And when he does Teshuva, the lines on the left hand remain, and that line which was added on the right is removed from him. And that red color is removed, not appearing as bright as before. And sometimes, even though he has repented, that red color is not removed from him for a time. This is the secret of the letter ה ‘Heh,’ and the letter ‘ס’ ‘Samekh’ is removed, and under it, the letter ‘ץ’ ‘Tzadi sofit’ enters and the letter ‘Heh’ is combined with the letter ‘Tzadi sofit.’ This person requires immediate correction for his soul. The wise people who see this issue in a person have a duty to tell him, ‘Go and correct yourself.’
