#176
Now, since it does not appear and does not descend, who will fight against that spirit of impurity to expel it from its place since afflictions are not happening now, what is the remedy for that house where the spirit of impurity has preceded to dwell there? And he answers, if he can expel it from the house by himself, that would be good. And if not, he shall build it anew with other stones, wood, and everything, remove and distance it from its original place, and build it for the sake of the Holy Name.
#177
And with all this, the spirit of impurity does not leave the original place, and holiness does not dwell upon an impure place. Rabbi Yitzchak said, why go to such trouble. Ecclesiastes 1:15
“What is crooked cannot be made straight, And what is lacking cannot be numbered.”
There were no afflictions during the time of the Holy Temple. After it is destroyed, no remedy is found in the world; because of this, a person must be cautious to be protected from the spirit of impurity. That is, he should no longer dwell in that house.
Lesson;
