“Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness And his chambers by injustice, Who uses his neighbor’s service without wages And gives him nothing for his work,”

Rabbi Yehuda quotes this verse and says that in every place where righteousness is found, Malchut, all spirits, and all harmful forces of the world flee from it and are not seen before it. And with all this, whoever precedes and takes the place merits it. If the Holy Malchut precedes in taking the place, holiness merits it, and if the Other Side precedes to the place, the Other Side wins it.” Rabbi Hezekiah said to him, “If so, you equate the Holy Name with the spirit of impurity by saying whoever precedes merits it.”

#174
He said to him, “It is not so. Rather, the Holy Name, Malchut, does not dwell in a place of impurity. Therefore, if the Holy Name takes its place first, all the spirits and all the harmful forces of the world cannot appear there, let alone approach it. And if the spirit of impurity precedes, it takes the place, and the Holy Name does not dwell in it, for it is not its place.”

#175
And when the affliction of leprosy descended upon the house, he (the priest) would purify the place and remove the spirit of impurity from its place (as mentioned above, #153). Afterward, they would demolish the house, the wood, the stones, and everything, and build it anew on the holy site, in righteousness, invoking the Holy Name and bestowing upon it holiness (as mentioned above, #150). And with all this, he would build it with different soil and move the house from its place, from the original foundation, by two handbreadths.
