#154
Rabbi Shimon said, “Blessed is the portion of the one who accompanies the Queen (Malchut) when she comes to receive the face of the King (Zeir Anpin), to converse with Him, and is present with her when the King extends His right hand, which is the light of Chassadim, to welcome the Queen.” As it is written,
Psalms 139:9
“אֶשָּׂא כַנְפֵי שָׁחַר אֶשְׁכְּנָה בְּאַחֲרִית יָם.”
“If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,”
What are the “uttermost parts of the sea”? It is that time in the morning when she (Malchut) receives the face of Zeir Anpin, it is the end of that sea, which is Malchut. For when the night is divided, it is her beginning, when she begins to shine, and it is judgment, as long as it is night, due to the lack of Chassadim to dress her Chokmah. And now, when the morning has arrived, it is her end, for her judgments are removed, and she enters under the wings of the King, which is Zeir Anpin, meaning she is dressed in his Chassadim, she and all those righteous who join her. As it is written, “Dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea.”
#155
We have learned that all who engage in Torah study after midnight connect with the Shechina. When the morning comes, the Queen, which is the Shechina, joins with the King, which is Zeir Anpin. They are with the King, and the King spreads His wings over all of them. As it is written,
Psalm 42:9
“יוֹמָם יְצַוֶּה יְהוָה חַסְדּוֹ וּבַלַּיְלָה שירה [שִׁירוֹ] עִמִּי תְּפִלָּה לְאֵל חַיָּי.”
“YHVH will command His lovingkindness (Chessed) in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me—a prayer to the God of my life.”
#156
We have learned that at that time when the morning comes, the Patriarchs, who are Chessed, Gevurah, and Tiferet of Zeir Anpin, are present with the Queen, the Shechinah. They come first to speak with her and to connect with her. Through them, the Holy One, blessed be He, which is Zeir Anpin, talks with her and calls her to spread His wings over her. As it is written,
Psalms 50:1
“מִזְמוֹר לְאָסָף אֵל אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה דִּבֶּר וַיִּקְרָא אָרֶץ מִמִּזְרַח שֶׁמֶשׁ עַד מְבֹאוֹ.”
“A Psalm of Asaph. The Mighty One, God the LORD, Has spoken and called the Earth From the sun’s rising to its going down.”
The Mighty One(אֵל, light of Chokmah, Chessed, Right ), God (אֱלֹהִים, Gevurah, Left), the Lord (יְהוָה, Mercy, completeness of everything, middle line that joins the right and the left). Therefore, the middle line speaks and calls the Earth, which is the Malchut, to complete her.
Lesson;
The Zohar teaches about the importance of studying the Torah after midnight. Those who engage in Torah study during the night are considered to be in communion with the Shechinah. When the night splits, transitioning from judgment to Mercy, these individuals are spiritually aligned with the Shechinah and blessed by the King, Zeir Anpin.
The Patriarchs are present with the Shechinah at dawn. They are mediators who help connect the Shechinah with Zeir Anpin. This indicates that Chessed, Gevurah, and Tiferet are essential for establishing a complete and harmonious connection with the upper levels.
The morning is the time of Hashem’s favor and blessings. The King, Zeir Anpin, extends his right hand, with Mercy and blessings, over the Queen, the Shechinah, and those who studied Torah during the night. This act of extending Mercy signifies the pouring of blessings upon those spiritually connected and aligned with the Shechinah.
In essence, this study conveys a profound understanding of the spiritual dynamics between the Shechinah and Zeir Anpin, the significance of the Torah study, and the role of the Patriarchs in drawing Mercy and blessings to the world.
