The secret of secrets was handed down to the wise of heart. Ten tribes correspond to a thousand years, and two tribes correspond to two hundred years. This is because the twelve lights of the Nukva called “tribes,” are drawn from Binah, whose sefirot are counted in hundreds, making a total of twelve hundred years.
Tears began to fall—Rabbi Shimon began to weep. He opened and said:
“בָּכֹה תִבְכֶּה בַלַּיְלָה וְדִמְעָתָהּ עַל לֶחֱיָה” “She weeps bitterly in the night, her tears are on her cheeks” (Lamentations 1:2). At the end of the twelve tribes’ exile, meaning the end of twelve hundred years as mentioned above, the night will grow darker for Israel until the V ו’ awakens for sixty-six years.
The explanation is as follows: The V ו’ in its fullness, as pronounced (vav), is written וו (two letters וו VV ), where the first V ו represents Tiferet, whose sefirot are counted in tens and therefore corresponds to sixty. The second V ו represents Yessod, whose sefirot are counted in single units and therefore correspond to six. This is the secret that the V ו’ of YHVH corresponds to sixty-six, as explained further.

From that time onward, the Holy One, Blessed be He, will awaken those miracles and signs that we have mentioned earlier, and those troubles we described will befall Israel. At that time, it is written: “וְאַף אֶת בְּרִיתִי יִצְחָק” “And I will also remember My covenant with Isaac” (Leviticus 26:42). This refers to Isaac, who represents Gevurah. Afterward, when King Mashiach wages wars across the world with the right hand of the Holy One, Blessed be He—which represents Chessed—as it is written: “יְמִינְךָ ה’ נֶאְדָּרִי בַּכֹּחַ” “Your right hand, Hashem, is glorious in power” (Exodus 15:6). At that time, it is written: “וְאַף אֶת בְּרִיתִי אַבְרָהָם אֶזְכֹּר” “And I will also remember My covenant with Abraham” (Leviticus 26:42), referring to Abraham, who represents Chessed.
Then, it states: “וְאֶת הָאָרֶץ אֶזְכֹּר” “And I will remember the land” (Leviticus 26:42). This refers to the final H ה’ of the name YHVH, which is the Nukva, also called “the land.” At that time, it is written: “וְהָיָה ה’ לְמֶלֶךְ עַל כָּל הָאָרֶץ” “And Hashem will be King over all the earth” (Zechariah 14:9).
Notes:
The redemptive process involves a progression through the attributes of Gevurah (Isaac), Chessed (Abraham), and the manifestation of the Nukva, leading to the full revelation of Hashem’s kingship over the world.
