Zohar Mishpatim
Continued from previous DZ
#158
A woman who does not remarry—what happens to the soul (level of Ruach) of her first husband that was left within her from their soul union?
The Zohar answers:
That soul remains within the woman for twelve months. Each night, it leaves and visits the soul (of the deceased husband) and then returns to its place. After twelve months, when the judgment of the man (her deceased husband) has been completed—for during all these twelve months, the soul is feeling low in sadness throughout the day—then after twelve months, the soul leaves her, departs from the woman, and goes to stand at the gate of Gan Eden. From there, it continues to visit the vessel from which it came—meaning the woman—in this world. When the woman passes from this world, that soul (Ruach) leaves and clothes itself within her soul and joins with her by her husband. Together, they shine as one, in complete unity.

Notes:
This passage emphasizes that the connections formed in holiness endure beyond the physical realm, giving depth and meaning to the sanctity of marriage and its everlasting bond in the world of the soul.
