Daily Zohar # 4814 – Pekudei – Measurement and calculation

#94
Similarly, Israel is like the sand of the sea. And when the other nations, which are like the raging waves of the sea, the ones filled with anger and harsh judgments, see that Israel is bound to the Holy One, Blessed be He, they retreat, break before them, and cannot rule over the world.
Another explanation (Hasulam): The sand of the sea cannot be measured and does not conform to calculation or measurement, as it is written: “אֲשֶׁר לֹא יִמַּד וְלֹא יִסָּפֵר” “Which cannot be measured nor counted” (Hosea 2:1). So too, Israel has no calculation and does not stand within a finite count.
Notes:
This passage teaches that Israel’s connection to Hashem is the key to their survival and strength. When they maintain this connection, no force can overpower them, and their existence remains limitless and eternal.
#95
Come and see: A hidden and concealed measurement exists, which is the secret of Abba and Imma (Chokmah and Binah). And there is another that remains concealed and hidden, which is the secret of Yisrael Saba and Tvunah. Even though within Yisrael Saba and Tvunah, the revelation of Chochmah appears—Which is why the secret of “Cheshbon” (calculation) (as explained above in #92)—Nonetheless, in their own place, this level remains hidden and concealed. It is only in Malchut that the Chochmah within them becomes revealed.
Thus, one stands in measurement (Abba and Imma), and one stands in calculation (Yisrael Saba and Tvunah). And this is the secret of the existence of everything, both above and below. Because the measurement in Abba and Imma—meaning the measure of their level of Chassadim—is never known. No one knows what this hidden measurement stands for. Similarly, no one knows the secret of the hidden calculation in Yisrael Saba and Tvunah. And this is the secret of the faith of everything.
Notes:
This passage teaches that the spiritual realms are structured to keep Chokama hidden until it reaches a place where it can be understood. True faith means trusting in this divine system, even when its workings remain beyond our grasp.
