Zohar Vayakhel
Continued from previous DZ
#209
This day is the day of the souls, when that Bundle of Souls — which is Binah — is crowned. And therefore they praise with the praises of the praise of the soul, and this is: “נִשְׁמַת כָּל חַי תְּבָרֵךְ אֶת שִׁמְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ וְרוּחַ” “The soul of every living being shall bless Your Name, YHVH our God, and the spirit” etc. And there is no praise except from the side of the neshama and the ruach. And this day stands in the aspect of ruach and neshama, and it is not of the body.
Notes:
Shabbat day belongs entirely to the realm of souls: Binah (the Bundle of Souls) is crowned, and praise arises solely from the neshama and ruach levels. The day is elevated beyond the physical body, dedicated to spiritual praise and union.
#210
The praise of another supernal level — which is the secret of the day, the holy sun, which is Zeir Anpin, who is the light of the day — that is, the blessing of “יוֹצֵר אוֹר” (Yotzer Or, Creator of Light). This is the secret of the illuminating light, from which all the hosts, chariots, stars, and constellations — and all those that rule over the world — are nourished and illuminated.
Notes:
The blessing Yotzer Or corresponds to Zeir Anpin (the holy sun/light of day), the source that nourishes and illuminates all supernal hosts, chariots, stars, and cosmic rulers. This praise reflects Zeir Anpin’s role as the central illuminating force on Shabbat day.
#211
The praise of the world to come — which is Binah — on this day, that is, “אֵל אָדוֹן” (El Adon). And this praise is in the secret of the twenty-two supernal holy letters that are crowned in the patriarchs — which are Chessed, Gevurah, and Tiferet — and in the supernal holy chariot, which is Binah.
Notes:
El Adon (from the Shabbat morning prayer) praises Binah (the world to come), structured around the twenty-two holy letters crowning the three central sefirot (חג” ת, the fathers) and the supernal chariot of Binah. This reflects Binah’s elevated dominion and the integration of the divine letters on Shabbat.
