Daily Zohar # 5138 – Vayikra – He will roar mightily over His habitation
Daily Zohar 5138

#288
In the book of Rav Hamnuna Saba, it is said: As long as the Congregation of Yisrael is found with the Holy One, blessed be He, as it were, the Holy One, blessed be He, is in perfection, and He pastures with desire — Himself, and others. “Himself” — that is, He nourishes Himself from the suckling of that milk of the supernal Ima, receiving the abundance of Binah. And from that suckling that He suckles, He waters all the others and nourishes them.
And we have learned that Rabbi Shimon said: As long as the Congregation of Yisrael is found with the Holy One, blessed be He, the Holy One, blessed be He, is in perfection and joy, and blessings in Him, and they issue from Him to all the others — that is, to all the worlds. And as long as the Congregation of Yisrael is not found with the Holy One, blessed be He, as it were, blessings are withheld from Him and from all the others.
#289
And the secret of the matter is: In every place where male and female are not found, blessings do not dwell upon it. And therefore the Holy One, blessed be He, roars and weeps, as it is said: “שָׁאֹג יִשְׁאַג עַל נָוֵהוּ” “He will roar mightily over His habitation” (Jeremiah 25:30). And what does He say? “Woe that I have destroyed My house and burned My Temple” etc. (Yevamot 62b).
Notes:
The Zohar stresses that the union of the Holy One (Zeir Anpin) and the Congregation of Yisrael (Malchut) is the source of all blessing and perfection. When they are together, Zeir Anpin suckles from Binah and channels abundance to all worlds, bringing joy and completeness. When they are separated, blessings are withheld on every level.
This separation causes divine pain — the Holy One “roars and weeps,” lamenting the destruction of His house and Temple. The teaching reveals that the root of exile and all withheld blessings is the lack of union between the divine masculine and feminine. Only their reunion restores the flow of blessing to all creation.
