Zohar Vayikra

#441
Rabbi Elazar, his son, said to him, But it is written, ‘לֹא תָלִין נִבְלָתוֹ עַל הָעֵץ… וְלֹא תְטַמֵּא אֶת אַדְמָתְךָ” “You shall not leave his corpse overnight on the tree… and you shall not defile your land ‘” (Deuteronomy 21:23). Because the land is holy. The spirit of impurity will not find a place in the Holy Land to rest upon it. If so, since that animal, the goat, the spirit of impurity rests upon it, and it comes from its side, why do they offer it to the holy side? He (Rabbi Shimon) said to him, You have asked well.
Notes:
Rabbi Elazar raises a difficulty: the Holy Land cannot tolerate impurity, yet the goat, which belongs to the side of impurity, is brought as an offering on the altar. Rabbi Shimon acknowledges the question as a proper one.
Friday would be a good day to make a ** Donation, especially if you didn’t donate in the past week. Giving on Friday, which is an aspect of Yessod, expands the vessel for the Light and honor of Shabbat.
** Your donation doesn’t have to be given to the same place every week. You can alternate or split your donation among those who benefit you spiritually.
