Hebrew translation:
Tikkun 59 – 3
(Continue from previous Daily Zohar)
The evil Snake broke six commandments of “You shall not do…”.
He falsely testified on the words of God and broke the commandment of “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor “
He caused mortality to Adam and Eve and broke “You shall not murder”
He seduced another one’s wife and broke “covet your neighbor’s wife” and “you shall not commit adultery”
When he said “for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as God, knowing good and evil”, he stole from Eve the ‘knowledge’, which is the true connection to the light and broke “You shall not steal”. Here, he also broke the commandment of “You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord”
The Zohar teaches us to be aware of the Snake and his methods of deception. He is the essence of our evil inclination. He tempts us with false good, testifies against us and controls our souls.
