The Hallel prayer consists of six psalms (113–118) that we recite on the three major holidays Pesach, Shavuot, and Sukkot. We also recite the Hallel on Rosh Chodesh. When we don’t recite the complete Hallel, we skip the first 11 verses from the beginning of Psalms 115 and the first 11 verses from Psalms 116.
The Hallel is long praise to Hashem and for redeeming and protecting the children of Israel.
